Directors are appointed in accordance with the Board's Articles of Association and are responsible for the overall governance, legal compliance and strategic leadership of the organisation.

The Executive Committee is a group of volunteers from the wider membership responsible for the day-to-day running of Consulting Engineers Board UK. The Executive Committee reports to the Board of Directors and supports the delivery of the Board's professional, scientific and academic activities.
